Due to the fact that we are plugged into our device on a daily basis, we have a much harder time hearing our authentic self. Our lives are controlled by social media, from Facebook, Tiktok to Twitter. It is an endless need for validation, and at times we no longer have the time to meditate and focus on our own thoughts. We are sort of pre-programmed into what social media wants us to believe. We do infinite scrolling. While social media has its endless perks, especially during troubling and unsettling times like Pandemics like Coronavirus. We should still challenge ourselves to do something worthwhile.

We are sort of pre-programmed into what social media wants us to believe. We do infinite scrolling. While social media has its endless perks, especially during troubling and unsettling times like Pandemics like Coronavirus. We should still challenge ourselves to do something worthwhile.
One of the things that I highly recommend is to reduce the number of social media apps you have. If you are not readily using it for work, or to create income then you must remove it on your month, even for 1 month to detox your thoughts and to have some space and time to relax and quiet down my thoughts.
Instead of looking at my phone all of the time, I opted to listen to fantastic podcasts instead. I began to listen to Audiobooks and even took up some online courses- instead of focusing on my social media apps all the time. After not relying on my mobile phone so much, I began to rediscover the joy of reading books and as a result, my creativity gained a boost.
Learning to Recognize Vital Information
In the modern-day world, we are surrounded by enormous amounts of information, but it doesn’t mean that we are able to digest them correctly. In fact, our information retention is low, so in order to really learn we need to try to focus and ignore social media apps for a while like Facebook as well as other social media distractions. You can still use the internet but watch educational videos instead and remain informed.
Making Use of Your Internet Time Wisely
There are numerous ways to make your internet time useful, there is a variety of things you can do, that includes listening to educational audios online or watching informative videos. Instead of wasting your time in endless scrolling on social media, you can start listing books instead and read that for 6 months, include more books as you go and more crafts to learn as you go. Take the time to read science journals and even articles from BBC. Watch documentary series from Netflix, and make ample use of your time. The goal is to train our brains not to seek instant gratification so that we can pursue other goals and finish them. To train our brains to accomplish awesome things all by itself, and to trigger it to empower the subconscious mind.
You need to strengthen your subconscious mind so you can accomplish greater things.
Exercise for your brain
In a time where people consider being busy as the only way to be productive, find time to rest your mind and do nothing as a way to exercise your brain. Meditate, do menial work, do brisk walking and learn to listen to your thoughts, and hear your inner voice. For the information to really energize your brain, you need time to silence your mind, to practice mindfulness and not always fill yourself with too much unnecessary information. Avoid distracting your mind too much, instead, take some space and time to work on silencing the brain, so you would be able to differentiate information that really matters.
This isn’t a toddler but I saw a puppy and then it magically ended up here for no sensible reason
Practice hearing your inner voice, do not escape from it, but instead, learn to calm down your mind so you can process the right information. Add physical and mental exercises, to develop your brain to produce good ideas, even listening to good classical music when doing random stuff.
Stop getting distracted by the thoughts and opinions of other people all of the time on social media. Instead, take the time to distance yourself so you can gain perspective by listening to your own thoughts.
